How to Create a Vision Board Bingo Card for Manifesting Your Goals (Printable)

I’ve been creating vision boards for years, usually as a spread in my trusty A5 Leuchtturm1917 journal. One year, on a podcast episode, I discussed how almost everything on my vision board manifested—including buying a house that uncannily resembled the one in the picture I’d glued down. It still amazes me how powerful this practice can be.
While browsing IG, I’ve come across people creating “vision board bingo cards” or “goal bingo cards” to enhance their vision boards. This year, I’m finally going to try it. So, what did I do? I started researching inspiration and frameworks to help me get started. After gathering various ideas, I came up with some simple steps to guide us. (And if you happen to be reading this mid-year, don’t worry. You can create a quarterly goal bingo card as well—it’s never too late to start.)
Why Create a Vision Board Bingo Card?
A vision bingo card is a fun, creative, and interactive way to set and track your goals. Unlike traditional vision boards, a bingo card uses a grid format that gamifies your aspirations. This approach makes your goals feel more achievable and helps you stay motivated throughout the year.
The Concept of a Vision Board Bingo Card
A vision board bingo card combines the inspiration of a traditional vision board with the structure of a bingo card. Typically, it’s a 5×5 grid, each square representing a specific goal, milestone, or aspiration. The goal? Mark off squares as you complete each task, aiming to finish a row, column, diagonal—or, if you’re ambitious, the entire card. And yes, there are rewards.
Choose a Theme for Your Vision Board Bingo Card
Start by choosing a focus area for your bingo card. Some popular themes include:
- Career Aspirations: Finding meaningful work, getting promoted, or developing a new skill.
- Personal Growth: Goals around self-care, mental health, and self-improvement.
- Health and Fitness: Focusing on staying active, improving your nutrition, and taking care of your overall physical health.
- Hobbies and Creativity: Planning out DIYs, learning new skills, or finding an activity that sparks your personal interests.
- Relationships: Strengthening your bonds with family, deepening friendships, or nurturing your connection with a partner.
- Wellness: A combination of career, creative, digital, emotional, environmental, financial, intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual wellness (some of which I covered on the Studio 78 Podcast).
Your bingo card can focus on one area or incorporate multiple. My bingo card, for example, focuses on wellness, business, and home improvement.
Set a Timeline
Decide how long you’ll give yourself to complete the bingo card. This could be:
- Monthly: For short-term focus.
- Quarterly: A popular choice for steady progress.
- Annually: Big picture for the year. This is what I’m doing.
Establishing a timeline instills a sense of urgency while keeping your goals realistic.
Write out 24 Goals
Start brainstorming 24 specific, actionable goals. I initially did this in Apple Notes over the course of a couple of days. The goals should be a mix of:
- Short-term goals: Tasks you can complete within a week or month. (e.g., Read 10 books)
- Long-term goals: Bigger achievements that may take several months or an entire year. (e.g., Save $5,000 for a trip)
- Fun or aspirational items: Things that inspire you or bring joy. (e.g., Take a dance class)
- Free or budget-friendly goals: I ensured that half of my goals wouldn’t cost anything, focusing on achievable ideas without spending money.
Create a mix of easy, medium, and hard goals for balance.
- 10 Easy Goals: Each goal should take less than an hour or require minimal effort. (e.g., drinking 8 glasses of water, journalling for 5 days daily, or tidying a space)
- 9 Medium Goals: Require more focus, effort, or time but are achievable with planning. (e.g., completing a course, exercising regularly, or setting a budget)
- 5 Hard Goals: Require significant dedication, resources, or commitment. (e.g., saving a large amount of money, booking a trip, or launching a big project)
Feeling stuck? Search online for goal ideas or use tools like ChatGPT to generate suggestions. Some sample ChatGPT prompts are “Give me 10 easy goal ideas for my vision board bingo card” and “Give me five moderate wellness goal ideas for my vision board bingo card.”

Create Your Bingo Card Layout
You can design your bingo card digitally using Canva, Google Docs, or Excel—or draw it by hand. A standard layout includes 25 squares (5 rows and 5 columns) with a “free” space in the center. To make your card visually appealing, consider:
- Adding images or symbols for each goal.
- Using colors to categorize goals (e.g., blue for health, green for finance).
- Including affirmations or quotes in empty spaces.

Distribute Bingo Card Goals Strategically
To make your vision board bingo card both achievable and motivating, strategically balance hard, medium, and easy items. Here’s how you can allocate and spread them across the board:
For a 5×5 bingo card with 25 squares:
- Easy Goals (8-10 items): These should comprise about 1/3 to 2/5 of the card. Easy tasks help you gain quick wins and build momentum.
- Medium Goals (10-12 items): These should comprise the majority of the board and provide a manageable challenge.
- Hard Goals (3-5 items): These should be aspirational and require more time or effort to achieve.
Adjust for personal preferences and tailor the distribution based on your current motivation and capacity. If you need a confidence boost, add more easy goals. If you thrive on challenges, include more medium and hard goals. Sample layout using my free template:

Here’s an accessible labeled sample layout, categorizing each goal as easy, medium, or hard:
| B (Easy) | I (Medium) | N (Hard) | G (Medium) | O (Easy) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy: Declutter a drawer | Medium: Network on LinkedIn | Hard: Run a 5K | Medium: Meditate 15 mins a day for a week | Easy: Save $100 |
| Easy: Call a friend | Hard: Save $500 | Hard: Launch a project | Medium: Finish 5 books | Easy: Try a new recipe |
| Easy: Write 3 journal entries | Medium: Make a will | FREE | Medium: Attend a art class | Easy: Complete a DIY project |
| Easy: Organize a shelf | Medium: Volunteer 2 hours | Hard: Save $2,000 | Medium: Plan and book a trip | Easy: Start a blog |
| Easy: Drink 8 glasses of water | Medium: Take a nature walk | Hard: Pay off debt | Medium: Launch a podcast | Easy: Meal prep weekly |
Distribute the goals evenly to maintain variety and balance:
- Free Space (Center Square): Use this as motivation by labeling it with a word or image that aligns with your theme (e.g., “Believe,” “Growth”).
- Outer Edges: Place easier goals in some corner and edge spaces. These are the first goals people notice, so starting with achievable tasks will encourage progress.
- Middle Rows and Columns: Mix medium and hard goals throughout. Avoid clustering hard tasks in one area, which could make it overwhelming.
- Diagonal Lines: Include at least one hard goal in each diagonal to add an aspirational touch to every winning path.
- Randomize the Placement: To maintain variety, alternate easy, medium, and hard items within rows or columns. Avoid patterns that stack all hard items together.
Make it Visible
Keep your bingo card in a place where you’ll see it daily:
- Paste it into your planner or journal.
- Print and pin it to a bulletin board.
- Save it as your phone or computer wallpaper.
- Laminate it and use dry-erase markers to check off completed goals.
Reward Ideas for Completing Goals
Mark off squares as you achieve each goal, and celebrate milestones. You can use stamps, stickers, X’s, or whatever your heart desires. Rewarding yourself for completing goals keeps you motivated and makes the process more enjoyable. Here are some reward ideas for both small achievements (like completing four corners) and more significant milestones (like completing a row or the entire card):
Small Rewards for Completing Four Corners
- Self-Care Treats: Get a back massager OR skincare product like a facemask.
- Food or Drink Rewards: Buy your favorite fancy coffee or tea OR a small indulgence, like a cupcake or artisanal chocolate.
- Entertainment Treats: Watch an episode of your favorite show OR buy a new song or e-book you’ve wanted.
- Simple Pleasures: Indulge in an hour of guilt-free relaxation (napping, journaling, or meditating) OR a stroll in your favorite park or neighborhood.
Medium Rewards for Completing a Row or Column
- Personal Treats: Buy a new piece of clothing or a plant OR upgrade a gadget or get a tool you need.
- Health and Wellness Activities: Try a yoga class or workout session you’ve been eyeing OR book a massage or spa treatment.
- Creative Indulgences: Buy art supplies, a journal, or stationery OR take yourself on a solo date to a museum, concert, or movie.
- Social Celebrations: Have a meal at your favorite restaurant OR plan a casual outing with friends to celebrate your progress.
Big Rewards for Completing the Entire Card
- Travel and Adventure: Book a weekend getaway or a day trip to a place you’ve always wanted to visit OR go on an adventurous experience like zip-lining or paddleboarding.
- Big-Ticket Items: Treat yourself to a luxury item you’ve been saving for, like a designer bag, jewelry, or tech gadget OR invest in a subscription or membership. (e.g., a fitness app, streaming service, or creative workshop)
- Self-Improvement: Sign up for a course, class, or retreat related to your passions or goals OR hire a coach or mentor to help you reach the next level.
- Bucket-List Treat: Do something you’ve always wanted to, like attending a Broadway show or dining at a high-end restaurant OR plan a mini shopping spree and update your wardrobe or home decor.
The key to meaningful rewards is tailoring them to your personality and interests. Consider what excites or relaxes you, and align your rewards accordingly:
- Love experiences? Choose travel or dining rewards.
- Value self-care? Go for spa treatments or wellness products.
- Enjoy learning? Invest in books, courses, or creative tools.
Rewards don’t have to be expensive if you’re on a budget. Consider free or low-cost options:
- A DIY spa day at home.
- A picnic in the park.
- Borrowing a book or movie from the library. Yall know I love me some Libby.
Revisit and Reflect
At the end of your timeline, review your progress:
- Which goals did you achieve?
- What challenges did you face?
- How can you adjust for next time?
Use these reflections to create your next bingo card, building on your growth.
